Aplaus 1870 is a restaurant with a rich historical background. In creating its brand, we combined a theatrical atmosphere with a contemporary design language. The goal of the project was to develop a cohesive visual identity that supports the restaurant’s story and highlights 19th-century-inspired elegance through carefully selected colours, typography, and refined details.

As part of the branding process, we developed:

• Logo design and its variations
• A comprehensive brand guidelines document
• A colour palette and a typographic system
• Print materials and menu design
• Visual guidelines for use within the interior space

The menu and print materials were designed to be both aesthetically refined and highly legible, taking into account the restaurant’s dimly lit environment. Readability, contrast, and material selection were key considerations throughout the process.

The project also included website design and development, as well as the creation of a dedicated intermission pre-order page for theatre guests. The goal of the digital solution was to bring the restaurant’s atmosphere online, create a seamless user experience across both mobile and desktop, and support reservations and advance orders.
